Survive a Bad Date

Many people love to date. Most people like to meet interesting people, have great conversations and enjoy the company of another person. However, all dates don’t always go smoothly. You are bound once in your life to have a bad date. While no one sets out to have a bad date, in the case that you do, here are some tips to survive one.

Online dating has increased the likelihood of having a bad date, because you usually don’t know the person enough to make an educated decision on whether you get along well and because you usually have never met the person before. If you are on a first date and it is going horribly wrong, here is what to do.

If your date is just boring and uninteresting, bite your tongue and wait it out. There is no ill will between you and the other person and there is not reason to scar or embarrass someone by saying I have to go in the middle of a date. Just enjoy your meal, movie or coffee together and then go your separate ways.

If your date is being belligerent or has an attitude problem and making you feel uncomfortable, then by all means, take the upper road, tell your date that they have been disrespectful and leave. You don’t have to stand for any abuse, especially when you have taken the time out of your schedule to meet this person. So follow the above suggestions and survive a bad date.
